Job Title: Senior Risk Practitioner

Location: Falmer, Brighton - Hybrid working (2 days a week in the office)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 Hours

Salary: Salary to be discussed at screening stage

About the role

Our Major Projects team is driving critical programmes that shape the future of our business and communities. As a Major Projects PMO Senior Risk Practitioner, you’ll implement and manage risk frameworks across complex projects, ensuring proactive identification, mitigation, and communication of risks. This is your opportunity to influence delivery confidence and make a real impact on projects that matter.


What you will be responsible for:

  • Implement and manage risk management strategies, processes, and governance in alignment with corporate standards.
  • Facilitate identification, assessment, and prioritisation of threats, opportunities, and issues.
  • Set up and maintain risk registers in risk management software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Work with risk owners to develop actionable mitigation strategies and track progress.
  • Conduct Quantitative Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis (QSRA/QCRA) and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with project controls teams to integrate risk impacts into schedules and forecasts.

Additional Requirements

  • Expert user of risk management tools such as ARM, Primavera Risk Analysis, or Safran.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and key clauses.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential

  • Extensive experience in risk management within large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Professional certifications such as PMI-RMP, IRM, or APM Risk Practitioner.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical, commercial, and scheduling information.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable

  • Degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or Project Management.
