An Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Risk Solicitor
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Senior Risk Solicitor to join a successful and ambitious UK law firm during a period of sustained growth. This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in shaping risk, compliance, and best practice across a dynamic legal business, while working alongside senior leaders and legal specialists.
The successful candidate will be a trusted adviser on regulatory, ethical, and governance matters, providing strategic guidance that supports commercial success while maintaining the highest professional standards. They will lead complex risk matters, oversee key compliance initiatives, and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and training programmes that strengthen the firm's risk culture.

This position is ideal for a solicitor with extensive law firm risk and compliance experience who is looking to influence decision-making at a senior level and make a genuine impact within a forward-thinking organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on complex regulatory, compliance, and ethical matters, including SRA, AML, GDPR, and conflicts issues.
- Supervise and mentor risk and compliance professionals, fostering a high-performing team.
- Manage professional indemnity claims, complaints handling, and insurer relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement of policies, procedures, audits, and risk frameworks.
- Design and deliver engaging training programmes to enhance risk awareness across the firm.
