Join GenesisCare at our Bristol Cancer Centre, where you'll be part of a specialist team delivering personalized cancer care and the latest systemic anti-cancer treatments in a modern outpatient environment.

As a Senior SACT Nurse, you'll have the opportunity to combine hands-on clinical excellence with leadership, education, service development and research. You'll manage your own patient caseload, run nurse-led clinics, work closely with leading oncology consultants and provide expert support to patients throughout their treatment journey.

The Role

As a Senior SACT Nurse, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality chemotherapy and SACT service at our Bristol centre, providing specialist nursing advice and support to patients and their families from diagnosis through treatment.

You'll work autonomously while providing clinical leadership within the SACT team, ensuring patients receive safe, evidence-based and personalized care.

You'll also have the opportunity to deputise for the Lead SACT Nurse when required, support the development of junior colleagues and contribute to the ongoing development of our nursing practice and services.

Our Bristol centre provides patients with access to a comprehensive range of SACT alongside advanced radiotherapy and integrated cancer care, creating an environment where you can work closely with a genuinely multidisciplinary team.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver chemotherapy and other systemic anti-cancer therapies safely and effectively
  • Use your advanced clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation and central venous access
  • Recognize and manage treatment complications, including anaphylaxis, extravasation and neutropenic sepsis
  • Provide telephone triage and out-of-hours support as part of the 24-hour on-call team
  • Work closely with medical consultants, pharmacists, radiographers and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Deputise for the Lead SACT Nurse when required
  • Support and develop junior members of the nursing team through education, mentorship and competency assessment
  • Contribute to clinical audit, research and service improvement initiatives
  • Support the development of clinical protocols and evidence-based nursing practice
  • Keep up to date with current research and clinical trials within oncology and SACT
  • Promote high standards of patient safety, quality and experience across the service

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
