Senior Safeguarding Consultant – North & London/East (Early Years) 📍 Remote (UK) with travel to nurseries and offices in Northampton and London 🕒 Full Time | 37.5 hours per week 💷 Salary: From £58,000 per annum 📅 Closing Date: 15 August 2026

At Bright Horizons, we're committed to creating safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive. We're looking for an experienced Senior Safeguarding Consultant to join our Safeguarding Team and play a key role in shaping safeguarding excellence across our nursery network.

The Role As a safeguarding subject matter expert, you'll partner with operational leaders to embed high-quality safeguarding practice, provide expert advice on complex child protection matters, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with the Head of Safeguarding, lead and support Safeguarding Leads, oversee safeguarding notifications, and build strong partnerships with agencies including Ofsted, Local Authorities, LADO, and Children's Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert safeguarding and child protection guidance across the business
  • Act as the escalation point for complex safeguarding concerns
  • Oversee safeguarding notifications and regulatory submissions
  • Support safeguarding strategy, policy development, and governance
  • Lead, coach, and develop Safeguarding Leads
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, insights, and safeguarding data
  • Build effective relationships with external safeguarding partners

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in safeguarding and child protection
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and external safeguarding agencies
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to analyse safeguarding data and drive improvements
  • Relevant qualification in safeguarding, education, social care, childcare, or a related field
  • Full UK driving licence
