The Caedmon Company is looking for an experienced safeguarding professional to join our Board of Trustees as our Senior Safeguarding Lead Trustee!
We are a small but ambitious arts and education charity that uses creative writing, drama and performance to improve the confidence, well-being and resilience of children and young people, particularly those who have experienced disadvantage or adversity.
As our Senior Safeguarding Lead Trustee, you will provide strategic oversight of safeguarding across the charity, acting as the Board's safeguarding lead and offering advice and support to the CEO and fellow trustees. You will help ensure that safeguarding remains central to our work as we grow and develop our programmes.

We are looking for someone with significant safeguarding experience, ideally in education, children's services, social care or a related field, who shares our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive through creativity.

The role is voluntary, with Board meetings held approximately every three months (mainly online), together with occasional advice and support as safeguarding matters arise.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of a growing charity with plans to expand its work across the UK over the coming years.
