Senior HSE Specialist | Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) Project | North Wales
Airswift is supporting a leading global EPCm contractor in the search for a Senior HSE Specialist to join a major Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) project based in North Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a flagship energy transition development, helping to deliver one of the UK's key decarbonisation projects while providing HSE leadership throughout the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project HSE management system implementation
- Drive contractor safety performance and workforce engagement
- Lead site inspections, audits and assurance activities
- Support Permit to Work (PTW) and Control of Work processes
- Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and CDM Regulations
- Support incident investigations and corrective actions
- Promote a positive safety culture across site construction activities
- Liaise with project teams, contractors, vendors and client representatives

Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
- IOSH Membership
- 5+ years' experience in a dedicated HSE role
- Heavy construction, industrial, energy or infrastructure project experience
- Permit to Work / Control of Work experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:
- NEBOSH Diploma
- CMIOSH or working towards Chartered status
- ICAM / RCA investigation training
- EPC / EPCM project experience
- Experience within CCS, hydrogen, power, petrochemical, refinery, LNG or process industries
Location: Mold, Flintshire (site-based, 5 days per week)
