Senior SailPoint Engineer & Operations SME

We are currently partnered with a leading global organization to recruit an experienced Senior SailPoint Identity Governance Engineer to join their Identity & Access Management team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on SailPoint professional to support and enhance a mature Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform within a large enterprise environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, administration, integration, and continuous improvement of SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ), while working closely with technology and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

SailPoint Engineering

  • Design, develop, configure, and support SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions.
  • Build and maintain workflows, rules, provisioning policies, and application integrations.
  • Develop and support connectors for enterprise applications.
  • Manage identity lifecycle processes, including Joiner, Mover, and Leaver workflows.
  • Perform platform upgrades, maintenance, and environment migrations.

Identity Governance & Operations

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the SailPoint platform.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot identity aggregation, provisioning, and certification processes.
  • Maintain platform documentation and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability and performance.

Access Governance

  • Configure and manage access certification campaigns.
  • Support role-based access models and entitlement governance.
  • Assist with role engineering, role maintenance, and access reviews.
  • Help improve access request and approval processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with business teams, application owners, and IT stakeholders.
  • Support user adoption and process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to IAM roadmap and continuous improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Identity & Access Management experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) experience.
  • Strong expertise in SailPoint workflows, rules, lifecycle events, certifications, and role management.
  • Experience with Java or BeanShell scripting.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, XML, JSON, REST APIs, and web services.
  • Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Understanding of SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC).
  • Experience integrating SailPoint with enterprise applications and cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow integrations.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP identity services.
  • SailPoint certification(s) preferred.
  • CISSP, CISM, or CISA certifications are advantageous.
