Role Description
The Senior Sales Account Manager – South East Region is a full-time hybrid role based in England, United Kingdom, with a mix of on-site client visits and work from home. As Senior Sales Manager you will be responsible for driving sales growth through face-to-face engagement, reactivating dormant Trade Partners and developing high-value relationships across your region.
This is a field-based, growth-focused role, with the majority of time spent on the road meeting Trade Partners, understanding their businesses, and establishing Milwood as a supplier.
Your value lies in commercial leadership, relationship building, and unlocking growth, valued commercial partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop a defined portfolio of Trade Partners within your region, proactively re-engaging inactive or low-ordering Trade Partners, converting them back into active, ordering partners and positioning Milwood as a long-term strategic partner rather than a transactional supplier.
- Maintain strong regional presence and visibility in the market with face-to-face structured sales meetings focused on opportunity identification, project planning and commercial outcomes.
- Develop account plans for key partners, focused on sustainable growth and repeat ordering.
- Maintain professional distance, whilst delivering high-value commercial engagement with Trade Partners, directing them to appropriate systems, processes or internal contacts where required. Setting clear expectations around roles, responsibilities and self-sufficiency, and avoiding administrative support reliance.
- Identify why Trade Partners have stopped ordering and remove commercial, technical or confidence-based barriers.
- Work collaboratively with the office-based Sales Account Manager to ensure continuity and follow-through, passing accounts to the office-based role for ongoing management once relationships are stabilised.
- Receive escalated opportunities from the onboarding pipeline where higher-value, field-based engagement is required and ensuring accurate handover of information and agreed actions.
- Focus discussions on system suitability, project success and commercial viability rather than bespoke problem-solving.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Milwood systems, solutions and installation principles. Providing high-level technical and commercial guidance that enables Trade Partners to quote and operate independently.
- Maintain visibility of regional activity, opportunities and partner status through strong CRM discipline. Providing accurate updates on reactivation progress, opportunities and risks.
- Contribute to sales forecasting and regional performance reviews.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
