Senior Sales Director – Private Markets Technology

Our client is a fast-growing, regulated technology business transforming how the private markets industry operates.

Following continued international growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Director to drive new business acquisition across the global private markets sector.

The Opportunity

This is a senior, high-impact commercial role focused on winning new enterprise clients across the private markets ecosystem. The successful candidate will leverage an established industry network to build relationships with senior decision-makers and position innovative technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance investor experiences, and modernise fund infrastructure.

This is a true business development role suited to someone who enjoys opening doors, developing strategic relationships, and closing complex enterprise sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities across the private markets industry, including private equity, private credit, real assets, venture capital, and other alternative investment managers.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders including CFOs, Finance Directors, Group Financial Controllers, Heads of Operations, Investor Relations leaders, Compliance professionals, and Finance Transformation teams.
  • Manage complex enterprise sales cycles from initial engagement through to negotiation and close.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows through technology and communicate clear commercial value propositions.
  • Work closely with internal product and implementation teams to deliver successful client outcomes.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, market developments, and client challenges within private markets.

About You

We're interested in speaking with commercially successful professionals who have:

  • A strong track record of selling enterprise solutions into the private markets industry.
  • An established network across alternative investment managers and the wider private markets ecosystem.
  • Experience engaging both commercial decision-makers and operational stakeholders.
  • A background selling complex B2B solutions such as financial technology, fund services, data platforms, software, or outsourced operational solutions.
  • A consultative, relationship-led approach combined with a proven ability to win new business.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience leading value-based sales conversations.

Ideal Experience

You will ideally have experience working with or selling to organisations such as:

  • Private equity firms
  • Private credit managers
  • Venture capital firms
  • Real assets managers
  • Secondaries investors
  • Multi-manager and fund-of-funds businesses
  • Institutional investors
  • Fund administrators
  • Custodians
  • Outsourced finance providers and other private markets service firms

A solid understanding of private markets structures, fund operations, and investor onboarding processes would be highly advantageous.
