Senior Sales Engineer – Automated Security Validation

πŸ“ England – Remote (1-2 days on site with customers per week)

A genuine opportunity for a commercially minded security engineer to sit at the heart of an enterprise sales function - working alongside a high-performing team at a well-funded, market-leading cybersecurity business.

This isn't a traditional pre-sales role where you turn up, demo, and disappear. You'll be involved throughout the sales cycle, supporting two AEs and directly influencing deals from technical qualification through to close. Your bonus is tied to the sales number - so if you're good and you care about the outcome, your earnings reflect it.

πŸ” The Business

A well-funded, unicorn-status cybersecurity software business and the market leader in its category. The platform automatically and safely simulates real-world cyberattacks against an organisation's own environment - identifying what is genuinely exploitable, not just theoretically vulnerable. It's a category Gartner has flagged as one of the highest priorities in enterprise security right now, and this business is the largest player in it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right β€” and where to focus when applying.

The culture is flat and fast-moving - you'll have direct access to product management and a genuine opportunity to help shape the product roadmap based on what you're seeing in the field.

🎯 The Role

Supporting two AEs across the full enterprise sales cycle, from technical qualification through to close. You'll lead Proof of Value engagements with prospective customers - and be the person who bridges the gap between what the product does and what the customer actually needs to see to make a decision.

The initial intro and qualification sits with the AEs. Everything after that, you're in the room.

πŸ” What They're Looking For

  • Cybersecurity background is essential - but breadth matters. Someone who has worked across a range of technologies and can demonstrate adaptability.
  • Ethical hacking or offensive security experience is particularly well suited to this product.
  • Comfortable running technical demonstrations with senior security stakeholders - but the ability to read a room commercially is just as important as the technical depth.
  • Shown clear progression through previous roles - this is a senior position and we want someone who has grown, not stood still.
  • Commercially minded - you understand that your job is to help win business, not just answer technical questions.
  • Curious about technology and genuinely excited by a product that is doing something different in the market.
