Role: Senior Sales Engineer

Duration: Permanent

Location: 1 Royal Exchange Avenue, London

Work Model: 5 days a week onsite, no flexibility

The Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing provider of data center and connectivity services, delivering solutions to enterprise, cloud, AI and digital infrastructure customers across the UK and internationally. As demand for hyperscale and AI capacity accelerates, they are hiring a Senior Sales Engineer to support the growth of their connectivity, hyperscale data center and AI cloud portfolio.

This is a customer-facing pre-sales role combining deep technical expertise with commercial acumen. You will act as the trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle: supporting account executives, developing technical solutions, presenting to customers and ensuring proposed architectures align with business and technical requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Provide pre-sales technical leadership across the full sales lifecycle.
  • Deliver technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations and proof of concept engagements.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs and technical tender requests.
  • Design end-to-end solutions spanning dark fiber and wavelength services, IP transit, data center interconnect, cross connects and colocation, multi-cloud connectivity, AI infrastructure networking, and private and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Develop scalable architectures supporting hyperscale cloud and AI workloads.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
  • Support customer onboarding and technical transition activities.
  • Build strong relationships with customer engineering, architecture, and procurement teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
