Role: Senior Sales Engineer

Location: Central London

Full-Time (Permanent Role)

On-Site Role - (5 Days a week On-Site)

Connectivity, Hyperscale Data Centres and AI Cloud.

Key requirements:

  • Pre sales or sales engineering background in connectivity, data centre or cloud
  • Solution design across dark fibre, wavelengths, IP transit, DCI, cross connects, multi cloud connectivity
  • Strong networking fundamentals: Ethernet, MPLS, IP, optical, Layer 2 and 3
  • Cloud networking knowledge across AWS, Azure and GCP. SD WAN and AI infrastructure networking a plus

What You Will Do

  • Provide pre sales technical leadership across the full sales lifecycle.
  • Deliver technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations and proof of concept engagements.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs and technical tender requests.
  • Design end to end solutions spanning dark fibre and wavelength services, IP transit, data centre interconnect, cross connects and colocation, multi cloud connectivity, AI infrastructure networking, and private and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Develop scalable architectures supporting hyperscale cloud and AI workloads.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
  • Support customer onboarding and technical transition activities.
  • Build strong relationships with customer engineering, architecture and procurement teams.

What You Will Bring

  • Proven pre sales or sales engineering experience in connectivity, data centre or cloud environments, including complex solution sales and large enterprise opportunities.
  • Experience designing interconnection and connectivity solutions for enterprise or hyperscale customers.
  • Strong understanding of data centre networking: Ethernet, MPLS, IP and optical networks, Layer 2 and Layer 3 architectures.
  • Working knowledge of cloud connectivity platforms and AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud networking.
  • Familiarity with SD WAN, network virtualisation and AI infrastructure environments.
  • Current knowledge of hyperscale data centre ecosystems, GPU networking, edge computing environments and emerging interconnection solutions.
  • The ability to understand business drivers and align technical solutions accordingly.
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills across technical and commercial audiences

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Network Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications valued: CCNP or CCIE, JNCIP or JNCIE, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, MEF.
  • Background in technical consulting or solutions architecture with hyperscale, connectivity, cloud or AI infrastructure customers.

  • Permanent role based in Central London, five days a week onsite.
  • Travel to client sites as required.
