Senior Sales Engineer, Marketleap | London - Hybrid
About Us
MarketLeap is an AI-driven platform to instantly scale e-commerce sales across all marketplaces. Our founders, former executives at Amazon and Rocket Internet, recognized that D2C brands only reach a small portion of the fragmented e-commerce market due to the complexity and inefficiencies of marketplaces. These challenges prevent D2C sellers from focusing on their core business, such as product development. To address this, we built a fully integrated software solution that empowers D2C brands to seamlessly scale across multiple marketplaces worldwide.
We aspire to shatter the boundaries of e-commerce in the same transformative way Amazon reshaped retail. We're well-funded, backed by top investors, and now looking for a sharp, technically minded Senior Sales Engineer to be the operational and technical authority inside our sales process, the person who turns deep Amazon and marketplace expertise into won deals.
The Role
As our Senior Sales Engineer, you are the technical counterpart to our Account Executives and the operational authority on every deal. You join sales conversations to answer the hard questions AEs can't, translate a prospect's messy Amazon reality into a clear diagnosis, and design solutions and proposals that are commercially compelling and operationally deliverable.
This is a pure pre-sales role. You do not own a brand portfolio or manage accounts after they sign, your focus is the sales cycle end to end: discovery, solutioning, proof, and proposal. You win the technical sale and hand off a clean, well-scoped brand to Brand Ops.
About You
- 4+ years of related work experience, preferably in e-commerce, B2B SaaS, or Amazon marketplace operations.
- Proven success supporting a sales team as the technical and operational expert, running solution discovery, fielding deep product and operational questions live on calls, and moving deals forward.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Amazon Marketplace operations: inventory and replenishment, PPC / advertising architecture, catalog and content, reconciliation, and EU / international expansion.
- Strong data and analytical skills; comfortable building diagnostics, models, and business cases from imperfect data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to present clearly to diverse audiences, from operational stakeholders to founders and senior executives.
- Highly organized, able to run multiple live deals in parallel and prioritize where your input moves the needle.
- Proactive, curious, and independent, with a strong bias for action and a genuine passion for solving problems.

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Be Doing
Technical & operational sales support
- Partner with Account Executives across the full sales cycle as the operational and technical authority on the deal.
- Join key sales calls to answer deep operational questions: inventory management, replenishment, PPC architecture, EU expansion, VAT and tax, reconciliation, and brand controls.
- Own pre-sales product compliance, VAT, tax, and expansion frameworks, giving prospects confident, accurate answers that de-risk the decision.
Discovery & solutioning
- Run structured technical and operational discovery to extract each prospect's goals, gaps, risks, and constraints.
- Build and deliver tailored pre-sales diagnostic decks that show prospects exactly where their Amazon presence has gaps and how MarketLeap closes them.
- Own pre-sales COGS generation and curation modeling for prospects. AEs are responsible for securing access to brand data; you own the completeness and integrity of the analysis built on it.
Proposals & scope
- Own the proposal and scope-of-work process, ensuring every commercial commitment is operationally grounded and deliverable.
- Co-develop and apply the brand qualification framework β which brands are a fit for MarketLeap, and why β and bring that rigor into every deal you touch.
Sales enablement & feedback loop
- Run a biweekly Ops Intelligence session with the sales team, distilling field and deal learnings into sharper messaging, objection handling, and product positioning.
- Build and maintain a living library of case studies, proof points, and before/after brand metrics, organized by brand type, category, and challenge.
- Flag patterns across deals that represent recurring objections, competitive gaps, or product opportunities, and route them to the right owner.
Product & tech collaboration
- Work with Tech and Product to shape automation and drive AI usage that makes the sales-engineering function faster and sharper.
- Influence technical design, write business requirements, and feed prospect and deal insight into the roadmap.
- Maintain the Sales-side relationship with the Tech team on Curation.
