Description
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be a key technical advisor and product advocate, supporting the sales team in driving revenue growth for our SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions. Your role will involve working closely with customers to understand their business challenges and technical requirements, providing tailored solutions that integrate our networking and network security technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and engineering, to ensure successful sales engagements and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with enterprise customers to assess their security and networking needs, positioning our SASE solutions as the best fit.
- Deliver compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and drive technical wins.
- Provide deep technical expertise on network security, SD-WAN, zero-trust architecture, cloud security, and remote access solutions.
- Assist customers in network architecture design, ensuring seamless integration of our solutions.
- Respond to technical RFPs/RFIs and support proposal development.
- Conduct technical workshops and product training for customers and internal teams.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, webinars, and trade shows.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, threat landscapes, and evolving security requirements.
- Provide feedback to product management based on customer and market insights.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical pre-sales roles in the networking and cybersecurity industry.
- Expertise in SASE technologies, including:
- SD-WAN
- Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
- Cloud Security & Secure Web Gateways (SWG)
- Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS)
- CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker)
- Endpoint Security & Threat Intelligence
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with network security protocols such as IPSec, SSL/TLS, DNS security, and IDS/IPS.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP), and identity-based security models.
- Proficiency in technical solution selling, articulating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with customer engagement, account planning, and competitive analysis.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, PoCs, and industry events.

Preferred Skills
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent.
- Experience with SaaS-based security platforms and multi-cloud networking.
- Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, and network monitoring tools.
