Overview
Within MCAPS Core, the Windows & Devices Sales (WDS) team unites the creation and delivery of Windows and device solutions to drive customer satisfaction globally. We work closely with a diverse ecosystem of partners and customers to ensure innovative solutions reach every market and segment.
As part of Commercial Device & Solution Sales (CDSS) exists to win the Windows platform in the AI era - bringing Microsoft's innovation to life at the edge for commercial customers through devices, partners, and solutions that drive real business outcomes.
We operate across the full commercial device ecosystem, partnering with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), distributors, resellers, Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and silicon providers, and collaborating closely with Sales, GTM, Finance, and product teams. From planning and design through sell-in, sell-thru, and partner engagement, CDSS orchestrates the motions that bring AI-first commercial computing experiences to customers and drive durable business outcomes.
As a Sales Excellence Specialist, you serve as a strategic operator and trusted advisor to sales leadership, translating CDSS strategy into focused execution across core business priorities. You connect initiatives, investments, partner segmentation, and go-to-market execution into a coherent model that improves business performance and accountability. You shape decisions through insight-led analysis, sound business judgment, and a disciplined Rhythm of Business (RoB), ensuring leaders act on the highest-value opportunities, address risks early, and drive predictable performance across financial and non-financial metrics. You also act as a change agent—accelerating adoption of simplified motions, AI-enabled ways of working, and stronger sales process execution at scale.

Responsibilities
- Lead planning processes by translating business priorities into operating plans, milestones, ownership models, and governance mechanisms.
- Own rhythm of business leadership, including business reviews, operating cadences, agenda planning, action tracking, decision logs, and follow-through.
- Drive business performance management through scorecards, KPIs, dashboards, pipeline inspection, forecast analysis, sales productivity insights, and executive-ready reporting.
- Partner with specialist team to improve account health, opportunity hygiene, process adherence, and execution discipline.
- Analyze sales and business data to identify trends, risks, blockers, and opportunities, and convert insights into practical recommendations for leadership teams.
- Prepare high-quality executive communications, narratives, business review materials, performance summaries, and decision-support content.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across Sales, Finance, Operations, Marketing, MCAPS-Core, partner teams, and business operations stakeholders.
- Identify process gaps and operational inefficiencies, then simplify, standardize, and improve business processes and sales operating practices.
- Lead strategic initiatives, special projects, and transformation efforts that improve operational excellence, seller productivity, business accountability, and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications
- Experience managing rhythm of business activities, scorecards, KPIs, leadership updates, action tracking, or executive-ready business materials.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across senior leaders, sales teams, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Customer Success, and cross-functional partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into clear, concise, and actionable business narratives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, improve processes, and drive adoption of operating practices across teams.
- Ability to synthesize business signals into executive narratives, decision materials, communications, and action plans.
- Project or program management capability, including the ability to manage ambiguity, coordinate dependencies, track actions, and drive outcomes through influence
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field and sales excellence or business management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- While specific locations are highlighted, we are open to considering candidates from other locations across Europe based on business needs.

- The typical base pay range for this role across Germany is € 102,100.00 - € 176,200.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
