About Smartstream Technologies

Smartstream Technologies works with many of the world's leading financial institutions, delivering mission-critical solutions that support data integrity, reconciliation, transaction lifecycle management, regulatory reporting, and operational automation across the financial services ecosystem.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Sales Executive to drive new business growth across the UK and wider European financial services market. The successful candidate will focus on identifying, developing and closing new logo opportunities across banks, asset managers, financial market infrastructures, fintechs, and other regulated financial institutions.

You will join a global organisation with teams across the UK, Europe, North America and Asia, working alongside product specialists, pre-sales consultants, and client success teams to deliver complex enterprise solutions to demanding institutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory strategy across financial services institutions in the UK and wider European market
  • Identify and close new logo opportunities, building a structured pipeline of enterprise sales engagements
  • Create detailed account plans, perform organisational mapping, and develop multi-stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities equivalent to 4-5x annual quota
  • Manage pipeline progression and opportunity qualification using MEDDPICC and CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Provide accurate forecasting and maintain strong pipeline hygiene across the territory
  • Work closely with Pre-Sales, Product, Professional Services and Customer Success teams to scope opportunities, support RFI/RFP responses, conduct demonstrations and manage proof-of-concept engagements
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior executives across operations, technology, data and finance functions
  • Identify new market opportunities and contribute to regional go-to-market strategy and sales initiatives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
