ABOUT KONTINIUM PAYROLL
Kontinium Payroll is an independent umbrella payroll company built on a simple promise: accurate, on-time pay for contractors — with no hidden fees and no compliance shortcuts. Our fixed monthly fee of £35.95 covers full PAYE processing, access to our K Perks employee benefits platform, and a company pension scheme. Contractors can be fully onboarded in as little as ten minutes.
Behind Kontinium is a team with over 30 years' combined experience in payroll and contractor services. We are registered in England and operate in full compliance with HMRC rules — something we take seriously in a sector where standards vary considerably.
We work with independent recruitment agencies across the UK to provide their contractors with a payroll solution they can trust. We are now at the start of our growth phase and looking for a Senior Sales Executive to help us take Kontinium to market.
THE ROLE
This is a pivotal hire. As Senior Sales Executive, you will own Kontinium's new business development — building relationships with independent recruitment agencies to secure PSL placement, and engaging directly with contractors through LinkedIn and online communities. You will manage the full sales cycle from first contact to signed contractor.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You bring two to four years of B2B sales experience, ideally in umbrella payroll, recruitment services, or a related contractor market. You know how to open doors, build credibility quickly, and close. You are equally comfortable nurturing an existing agency relationship as you are winning a new one.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage a pipeline of independent recruitment agency prospects, targeting PSL placement with agencies that place contractors
- Conduct outreach via LinkedIn, phone, and email to introduce Kontinium and progress relationships to commercial agreements
- Engage contractors directly through LinkedIn and contractor forums to drive awareness and sign-ups
- Manage existing agency relationships to protect and grow contractor volumes
- Maintain accurate pipeline records and activity logs in CRM, reporting weekly to the MD
- Represent Kontinium at relevant industry events and networking opportunities
- Feed competitor intelligence and market insight back to the leadership team
- Contribute to sales collateral, pitch materials, and go-to-market messaging as we grow
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2–4 years of B2B sales experience with a provable track record of hitting or exceeding targets
- Must be based in the UK — this is a requirement, not a preference
- Experience in umbrella payroll, recruitment, contractor services, or staffing — or a strong and demonstrable understanding of the sector
- A genuine new business mentality: you are energized by prospecting and can evidence deals you have personally opened and closed
- Strong relationship-building skills — recruiters and contractors find you credible, warm, and straightforward to deal with
- Excellent written and verbal communication, particularly on LinkedIn and in face-to-face or video meetings
- Self-directed and organized: able to manage your own pipeline without close supervision
- Comfortable discussing IR35, AWR, and the umbrella landscape at a practical level
- High integrity — our compliance reputation is our most important commercial asset — we need someone who sells honestly
