Senior Sales Executive

Location: London – Hybrid
Salary: £40k - £45k DOE + Uncapped Commission (£60k OTE)

We are excited to be working with an established UK provider of public sector events, delivering exhibitions, conferences and training programmes that bring together professionals, decision-makers and organisations across key public sector communities.

With a strong reputation for creating innovative, stimulating and collaborative experiences, the business connects senior professionals with organisations providing solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing their sectors.

As the business continues to grow its education portfolio, they are now looking for a commercially minded sales professional to help build on the success of an established events portfolio and identify new opportunities for growth.

About the Portfolio

The Education portfolio brings together professionals and senior decision-makers from across the education sector, creating opportunities for the sector to share insight, explore emerging challenges and connect with organisations providing solutions and services to schools.

The portfolio includes two major annual education exhibitions, alongside fringe events, briefings, awards and conferences.

These events attract thousands of school and Multi-Academy Trust leaders looking for practical solutions to the challenges facing the education sector.

As the portfolio continues to develop, there is significant opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional to identify new markets, develop client relationships and drive revenue growth.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated B2B sales professional to take ownership of commercial opportunities across a growing education events portfolio.

You will be responsible for selling exhibition and sponsorship opportunities, developing new business relationships and creating tailored commercial solutions for organisations looking to engage with senior education professionals.

Working across a range of live events, you will research the education sector, identify emerging trends and challenges, and use these insights to develop relevant sales opportunities.

The role will suit someone who is highly proactive, confident with outbound sales and motivated by achieving and exceeding targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work across an established education events portfolio, including major exhibitions, fringe events, briefings, awards and conferences.
  • Sell exhibition, sponsorship and wider commercial opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Research the education sector to identify emerging trends, challenges and potential commercial opportunities.
  • Develop creative sales approaches tailored to organisations operating within the education market.
  • Research and source your own leads through proactive prospecting and business development.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active potential deals across the events you are responsible for.
  • Conduct high levels of outbound activity, including cold calling, prospecting and targeted outreach.
  • Engage confidently with senior decision-makers and develop strong commercial relationships.
  • Conduct effective discovery conversations to understand client objectives and identify suitable solutions.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales pitches and proposals tailored to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate confidently with prospects and stakeholders to secure new business.
  • Manage the full sales process from initial prospecting through to negotiation and close.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, including opportunities, communications and pipeline activity.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the full range of products and commercial opportunities available across the portfolio.
  • Deliver a high volume of pitches and sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Consistently achieve monthly sales targets set by the Head of Sales.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business while taking ownership of individual sales activity and results.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new commercial relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the education portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
