Role: Freight Senior Business Executive
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: A GBP 60,000 OTE
Our client, a leading provider of Transport and Logistics services, are currently seeking a Freight Senior Business Executive for their team based in Hertfordshire.
The role of the Freight Senior Business Executive is to drive growth through acquiring new clients and developing existing relationships.
This role combines strategic engagement and in-depth proposals, showcasing the company's unique value. Once onboarded, you will also focus on maximising opportunities within current accounts.
What You'll Do
- Identify and engage potential clients through regular targeted outreach to generate new business opportunities.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing clients to drive account growth.
- Prepare and present proposals and quotes, address client questions or concerns, and implement strategies to win new contracts.
- Advise clients on shipping and regulatory requirements within the European Union.
- Conduct negotiations with clients and suppliers to achieve favourable outcomes for all parties.
- Oversee accounts to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or expansion.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights, progress updates, and best practices.
- Contribute to marketing activities, including creating content for social media, promotional materials, and email campaigns.

The successful Freight Senior Business Executive will have:
- A proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the Freight industry, but this is not essential.
We're keen to speak with candidates who are confident engaging with clients both over the phone and in person, and who excel at building strong, lasting relationships.
What You Need
- Solid understanding of market trends, competitors, and customer needs.
- Good commercial sense
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients.
