Sales Agent – The Planning Handbook

Location: UK Wide – Fully Remote (Telesales)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission + Performance Bonuses

ABOUT THE PLANNING HANDBOOK

The Planning Handbook is a leading online resource connecting homeowners, property developers, architects, planning consultants, and construction professionals across the UK. We help businesses increase their visibility and generate enquiries through directory listings, advertising opportunities, editorial features, and digital marketing solutions.

We are expanding our sales team and are looking for a motivated Telesales Agent to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working fully remotely from home.

THE ROLE

As a Sales Agent, you will identify and contact potential advertisers and directory members within the planning, construction, property, and home improvement sectors, working entirely by phone, email, LinkedIn, and video call from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate new business opportunities by phone.
  • Contact architects, planning consultants, builders, surveyors, engineers, renewable energy companies, and related businesses.
  • Present advertising and promotional opportunities available through The Planning Handbook.
  • Build and maintain client relationships remotely.
  • Negotiate and close sales over the phone.
  • Update sales records and follow up with prospects.
  • Meet agreed sales targets.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous telesales or telephone sales experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven.
  • Professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Ability to work independently from home.
  • Basic computer skills for online sales activities.
  • A quiet, reliable home working setup with a good internet connection.
