Company Description

New Start Energy is an established specialist in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, and Variable Frequency Drives, with over 20 years of experience. Its engineers have deep expertise in ABB Drives, Danfoss, Emerson Control Techniques, and a wide range of other manufacturers. The company supports applications such as HVAC systems, pumping and PID, manufacturing, positioning, active heave, and propulsion systems. New Start Energy serves diverse sectors including industry, manufacturing, onshore and offshore oil and gas, and shipping, helping clients move air, fluids, oil, gas, conveyors, and hoists efficiently and reliably.

Role Description

The Senior Sales Executive is a full-time, hybrid role based in Rawtenstall, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and driving revenue growth across industrial, manufacturing, oil and gas, and shipping sectors.

  • Prospecting and qualifying leads
  • Preparing and delivering technical sales presentations
  • Creating tailored proposals for automation and drive solutions

The Senior Sales Executive will collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand client requirements, provide accurate quotations, and ensure successful project handover. The role also involves maintaining a strong pipeline using CRM tools, monitoring market trends, and representing New Start Energy at industry events and customer meetings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within industrial automation, electrical engineering, or variable frequency drives, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Solid understanding of applications such as HVAC systems, pumping, manufacturing processes, positioning, propulsion, or related industrial systems, enabling effective technical discussions with clients.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills, with the ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency using CRM and sales productivity tools, along with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to present technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and travel to client sites as required.
  • Relevant education in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in sectors such as manufacturing, oil and gas, shipping, or industrial services is highly advantageous.
