Senior Sales Executive
Bournemouth | £35,000–£40,000 Basic | £70,000–£80,000+ OTE | Uncapped Commission
If you're already successful in B2B sales and feel like you've got more in you, this could be a very interesting next move.
Sales Path Recruitment is working with a growing Bournemouth-based telecommunications business looking for experienced B2B salespeople to join its senior sales executive team.
This isn't an entry-level sales position. We're specifically looking for people who can demonstrate experience selling, prospecting or developing business in a B2B environment, and who are already comfortable speaking to decision-makers, handling objections and working towards targets.
You don't necessarily need telecommunications experience. We're much more interested in the sales skills you've already developed and how transferable they are.
The Role
You'll be responsible for outbound B2B prospecting, speaking with senior decision-makers and generating qualified appointments for an experienced field sales team.
As a Senior Sales Executive, you'll be working from pre-qualified data, but it's your job to create the opportunity - getting the prospect engaged, understanding their current situation and needs, overcoming initial objections and giving them a genuine reason to take the next conversation.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Making outbound calls to prospective business customers
- Speaking with senior decision-makers and building rapport quickly
- Identifying customer needs and potential opportunities
- Handling objections and confidently communicating the value of the service
- Qualifying prospects based on their requirements, budget and decision-making process
- Booking qualified appointments for the field sales team
- Following up and nurturing prospects where appropriate
- Keeping accurate records and managing activity through the CRM
- Working towards individual KPIs and sales targets

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
