Senior Sales Executive – US Market | FinTech / Investment Management

London | £70,000 Base + Uncapped Commission

Certus Recruitment is working with an established, award-winning FinTech business that provides sophisticated investment analytics and portfolio technology to institutional investors globally.

With more than 20 years in the market, the business works with asset managers, pension funds, family offices, private banks, fund advisers and other institutional investors to help them research and select funds, construct portfolios and undertake investment due diligence.

We’re looking for an experienced new business salesperson to take ownership of developing the US and Canadian markets from London.

This is very much a hunter role.

  • You'll inherit the benefit of an excellent marketing engine generating a consistent flow of inbound opportunities, but we're looking for someone who won't sit waiting for leads.
  • You'll prospect, open doors, create your own opportunities and manage the complete sales process from first conversation through demo, trial, negotiation and close.

The opportunity

  • Sell an established SaaS/FinTech platform into the US & Canadian investment market
  • Engage with Asset Managers, Family Offices, Pension Funds, Private Banks, Fund Advisors and other institutional investors
  • Sell to senior stakeholders including Portfolio Managers, COOs and CIOs
  • Typical deal values of $40k–$50k ARR, ranging from approximately $20k–$100k
  • Average sales cycles of 2–3 months
  • Full ownership of the sales cycle
  • Strong existing marketing and inbound lead generation
  • Work closely with a small, experienced sales, product and marketing team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for

You don't need to be an expert in hedge fund analytics or portfolio theory from day one.

You do need to understand the financial services/investment management world and have experience selling SaaS, data, analytics or financial technology into relevant customers.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • 3+ years' full-cycle B2B sales experience within financial services
  • Exposure to asset managers, institutional investors, pension funds, private banks, family offices or similar
  • A strong track record of winning new business
  • Experience self-generating pipeline through calls, email and LinkedIn
  • Confidence engaging senior investment and operational decision-makers
  • The ability to run your own demos, trials and commercial conversations
  • A genuinely entrepreneurial, hands-on approach
  • Above all, we're looking for someone who wants to build the North American market and is prepared to do what it takes to be successful — someone who enjoys prospecting, isn't afraid to pick up the phone and wants ownership of their number.
