Are you an experienced Senior Sales Manager with a strong technical background and a passion for developing international business opportunities? Join our dynamic team at SAMSON Materials Handling Ltd, a global leader in Bulk Material Handling Systems serving ports, terminals, cement, mining, power, and other key industries worldwide.

As part of the AUMUND Group of Companies, you will play a key role in delivering ambitious sales growth by developing and executing strategic sales plans, building strong customer and partner relationships, identifying new opportunities, and providing tailored technical solutions across the UK and international markets. Extensive travel is an integral part of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales plans within your designated territory, ensuring alignment with the wider company sales strategy.
  • Identify and engage prospective customers through direct sales activity, networking, site visits, and industry events.
  • Consult with customers to understand operational requirements and deliver tailored technical and commercial solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, ensuring exceptional levels of service and satisfaction.
  • Prepare customer-specific proposals, quotations, and estimates that effectively demonstrate the value of SAMSON solutions.
  • Develop and strengthen sales and service partner networks through training, joint customer visits, and "bid-to-win" strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, provide sales forecasts, and contribute feedback to support product development initiatives.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5+ years' B2B sales experience, preferably within industrial equipment, engineering, or technical sectors.
  • Strong technical understanding combined with excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Confident communicator with effective presentation and public speaking abilities.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and other sales management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and opportunities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of export markets and experience working in international business environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and support sales and service partner networks.
  • Understanding of bulk materials handling equipment would be advantageous.

  • This position is based in Ely, Cambridgeshire, so applicants must be able to commute to Ely.
  • Extensive UK and international travel is a key requirement of this role.
