About Eastland Ingredients
Eastland Ingredients Ltd is a UK-based specialist supplier of premium spices, spice blends, seasonings, herbs, dehydrated vegetables, coconut products, oleoresins, and related food ingredients. The company works with vertically integrated supply from source (including manufacturing facility and operations in India), emphasising quality, traceability, food safety (BRC-grade processing, steam sterilisation, IPM/GAP/GMP standards) and compliance with EU/UK regulations. Customers include food manufacturers, private-label brands, blenders, wholesalers, flour companies, and importers.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to drive growth of our ingredient portfolio across the UK. The successful candidate will use their existing contacts and relationships to bring new mainstream food manufacturers, private-label brands, blenders, and major suppliers onboard as customers, while also managing and developing business with existing accounts.
This is a senior, commercially focused role with significant autonomy to win new business, expand the customer base, and contribute to the company’s growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue, volume, and margin targets for the UK market.
- Use your network of contacts to identify, approach, and convert new customers among mainstream UK food manufacturers, private-label producers, spice blenders, seasonings houses, and major ingredient suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for product applications (e.g., spices, blends, seasonings, dehydrated vegetables, coconut products) within customer NPD pipelines and formulations.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities; prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close deals.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (procurement/sourcing, quality, logistics, and any technical support) to ensure reliable supply, sample support, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs in the UK food ingredients sector; provide feedback to support product development and commercial planning.
- Represent Eastland Ingredients at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Maintain accurate reporting on sales performance and pipeline.
- Contribute to overall commercial strategy and profitability of the UK business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
