What You Will Be Doing

  • Own the full sales cycle for a portfolio of enterprise accounts — from first conversation through to close — and grow revenue across both existing relationships and new business within CPOs, retail, hospitality, amusement & recreation, and telecoms.
  • Build and execute a territory plan for the UK that identifies the highest-value opportunities across charge point operators and destination verticals, leverages ChargePoint’s channel partners and resellers, and sequences deals with discipline.
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder organisations: you will engage operations directors, property managers, sustainability leads, procurement teams and C-suite decision-makers, often within the same deal.
  • Develop consultative, solution-led proposals that combine ChargePoint’s hardware, software and energy management capabilities into outcomes your customers care about — whether that is network uptime for a CPO, dwell-time revenue for a hospitality brand, or footfall conversion for a retailer.
  • Maintain a clean, accurate pipeline in Salesforce and deliver reliable forecasts — your leadership team will rely on your judgement.
  • Collaborate closely with our Solutions Engineering, Marketing and Customer Success teams to deliver a seamless experience from pre-sale through deployment.
  • Stay close to the evolving UK charging landscape: understand CPO business models, OZEV grant programmes, the UK’s ZEV mandate trajectory, and how destination charging is becoming a competitive differentiator for retail, leisure and hospitality brands.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Enterprise sales credibility in complex environments — you bring at least five years of closing experience selling technical or SaaS solutions to large organisations, with a track record of personally originating, shaping and closing multi-stakeholder deals across operations, sustainability, procurement and C-suite contacts.
  • Territory-building discipline — you know how to build a market from a plan, not just work one you inherited. You can identify high-value targets across CPOs, retail, hospitality, amusement & recreation and telecoms, sequence deals with rigour, and balance your own prospecting with channel partner leverage and inbound pipeline.
  • Consultative, outcome-led selling — you move beyond product features to build proposals around what the customer actually cares about — network uptime for a CPO, dwell-time revenue for a hospitality brand, footfall conversion for a retailer — combining ChargePoint's hardware, software and energy management capabilities into a single, compelling business case.
  • Fluency in the UK charging landscape — you either understand CPO business models, destination charging economics, OZEV grant programmes, grid connection challenges and the ZEV mandate trajectory, or you can demonstrate you will get up to speed quickly enough to hold credible conversations from day one.
  • Forecast reliability and pipeline discipline — you maintain a clean, accurate Salesforce pipeline that your leadership team can trust, and you take personal accountability for the quality of your forecast — no sandbagging, no inflating, just honest commercial judgement.

Requirements

  • You bring at least five years of enterprise sales experience, ideally selling technical or SaaS solutions to large organisations. E-mobility or energy infrastructure experience is a strong plus, but not essential if you bring the right commercial instincts and an understanding of how CPOs, retailers, or hospitality operators buy.
  • You have a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota, and you can point to complex deals you personally originated, shaped and closed.
  • You are comfortable building a territory from a plan — identifying targets, working with channel partners and managing your own prospecting alongside inbound pipeline.
  • You understand the UK charging ecosystem or can demonstrate you will get up to speed quickly: CPO business models, destination charging economics, grid connection challenges, and how public and workplace charging strategies intersect.
  • You communicate with clarity and credibility, whether presenting to a C-suite audience, writing a business case, or briefing internal stakeholders.
  • You are based in the United Kingdom and willing to travel regularly across the territory.
