Role Description
We are looking for a high-energy, outbound-focused Senior Sales Manager who is hungry for sales and highly driven to acquire new business. This role is primarily centered on proactive prospecting and hunting to drive the commercial growth of our composite tooling and engineering consultancy services. You will own the full sales cycle, with a heavy emphasis on aggressive lead generation and market expansion. You must be a self-starter who thrives on identifying and winning new opportunities in the composites sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Hunting

    • Pursue new business through outbound hunting and cold prospecting
    • Identify, qualify, and penetrate target accounts that have no prior relationship with Plyable
    • Maintain a high volume of outbound activity to ensure a constant influx of new opportunities
    • Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, industry networks, and events
    • Develop relationships with key accounts and strategic partners
    • Qualify opportunities and manage sales progression
  • Sales Strategy

    • Iterate and support the implementation of go-to-market strategy
    • Identify target customer segments and ideal customer profiles
    • Provide input on pricing and commercial structures
  • Sales Execution

    • Lead discovery meetings and commercial discussions
    • Coordinate with technical delivery teams for feasibility assessments and project validation
    • Manage proposals, negotiations, and contract closure
  • Market Feedback

    • Provide structured feedback to product and leadership teams
    • Identify new market opportunities and product requirements

Experience

  • 5+ years B2B sales experience in engineering industries with a degree in a related engineering discipline, or significant relevant sales experience without an engineering degree
  • Experience selling manufacturing services, engineering solutions, or complex tooling projects in highly regulated sectors
  • Demonstrated success managing complex B2B sales cycles
  • Strong commercial negotiation and closing skills
  • Experience developing new business in emerging markets or products
  • CRM usage
  • Startup or scale-up environment a bonus but not essential
