The Xylem business unit Evoqua Water Technologies offers a comprehensive portfolio of solutions, products, and services in advanced water and wastewater treatment. Our largest Evoqua site in Germany is located in Günzburg, where approximately 250 employees develop and manufacture state-of-the-art systems for chlorine-based water disinfection, online measurement and control technology, as well as ultrapure water systems for laboratory and industrial applications.
Job Opening: Senior Sales Manager EMEA (m/f/d) – Ultrapure Water / EDI & LAB
Xylem is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Sales Manager EMEA (m/f/d) – Ultrapure Water / EDI & LAB to lead and accelerate growth of our Ultrapure Water (EDI & LAB) product lines within the Treatment Solutions portfolio across the EMEA region. This role will be based in the UK, Spain, or Italy.
Role Overview
This role combines strategic leadership with a strong execution focus and full accountability for delivering profitable growth across a defined business segment. You will lead a regional team and drive commercial excellence across both direct sales and channel partner networks.
Your Responsibilities
- Own and deliver an ambitious sales growth plan across the EMEA region, ensuring above-market, profitable growth
- Lead, coach, and develop regional teams
- Drive execution of strategic growth initiatives and commercial projects across EMEA
- Define and execute go-to-market strategies via both direct sales and channel partners
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities while expanding existing key accounts
- Build and implement targeted sales strategies for key verticals (e.g., Pharma, Energy, Semiconductor, Industrial Water Treatment)
- Ensure accurate sales forecasting and maintain a strong, sustainable pipeline (including SIOP reporting)
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, R&D, Operations, Technical Support, and Customer Service
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities
- Represent Xylem at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements across EMEA and international markets
- Drive effective opportunity and funnel management using CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
- Ensure profitable deal structures while protecting regional and global margin targets
- Prepare and present structured business updates, forecasts, and strategic insights to global leadership
- Foster strong collaboration across business units and regions to leverage synergies
- Conduct regular performance reviews and support talent development within the team

Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (preferred)
- 12+ years of experience in water treatment sales
- 7–10 years of leadership experience in sales or business development roles
- Proven experience in leading regional teams, ideally including Business Development Managers
- Strong expertise in deionized/ultrapure water applications (EDI & LA highly desirable)
- Established network within relevant industries and customer segments
- Experience across key markets such as Pharma, Power, Semiconductor (MicroE), and Industrial Water Treatment
- Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals
- Strong customer focus with expertise in solution selling and relationship management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- High level of accountability, ownership, and results orientation
- Proficiency in CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office tools
- Fluent in English and at least one additional European language
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across the EMEA region
