The Role
Checkout.com are actively looking for an enthusiastic and talented Senior Sales Manager to join our Commercial Team in London to drive rapid growth for our revolutionary Card Issuing solution. We need a high-achieving individual to help global enterprises launch modern card programs—from virtual cards for travel intermediaries to physical cards for BNPL.
If you are a driven and focused salesperson with a proven track record of selling cutting edge issuing solutions in a high-growth and competitive environment, this is the role for you. Reporting to the Director, the Senior Sales Manager will handle multiple sales cycles, always ensuring a high conversion rate and outperforming the sales targets.

Along the way, you'll collaborate closely with various in-house talents across Technology and Business to position our capabilities, products, services and solutions effectively with prospects. The ideal candidate will need to be an independent, high-achieving individual, able to stand out in an entrepreneurial environment and outperform sales targets through personal drive.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Pipeline Growth: Identify the most promising clients and grow a healthy pipeline for card issuing across various verticals.
- Solution Selling: Sell our issuing products to travel intermediaries and fintech clients through outbound techniques.
- Consultative Expert: Help prospects evaluate Checkout.com, handling detailed questions about our product capabilities, serving as a consultant and industry expert.
- Proposal Management: Prepare thorough presentations and proposals that highlight the ROI of switching to a modern issuer.
- Full Cycle Orchestration: Lead the entire Sales process, acting as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Partner with other Sales team members to share best practices, key business insights and industry trends
- Market Intelligence: Provide feedback on local trends including competitor insights, customer needs, sales, product and marketing information
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years of Sales experience, with at least 3 years specifically within Payments or Card Issuing.
- Network: A solid network of potential prospects and partners.
- AI & Productivity: Proficient in leveraging AI-powered sales tools to augment prospecting and analyze deal intelligence to accelerate the sales cycle.
- Technical Passion: Tech-savvy with a passion for how technology is transforming finance.
- Business Acumen: Solid understanding of financial factors, including interchange mechanics and card scheme products.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation techniques, with the ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Tools: Knowledge of Salesforce and a highly organized approach to prioritizing shifting workloads.
