About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a hands-on, high-energy Senior Sales Manager to take full ownership of the day-to-day performance of our Account Management team. This is a leadership role with real ownership: you will have the autonomy to lead how the team operates day to day, within the wider commercial strategy, and you set the pace, energy, and standard on the floor.
Your job is to build a team of proactive account managers who create and convert growth opportunities, rather than a team that waits for work to arrive. You will do that through daily coaching, structured 1:1s, and by getting close to individual accounts and deals yourself, not just reviewing them from a distance.
You will report directly to the Sales Director and take real ownership of team execution, coaching, and performance. That gives you the platform to build something of your own, and it frees the Sales Director to focus on commercial strategy and growth. If you want a role where you are trusted to run the floor and judged on what your team achieves, this is built for you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Own the Floor
- Set the pace, energy, and urgency of the team day to day, leading in person from the floor
- Keep a real-time pulse on activity and performance, and step in early whenever it dips
- Make sure the team stays proactive and keeps creating opportunities, whatever the inbound flow looks like on a given day
- Build a team culture based on ownership, consistency, and follow-through
Team Leadership and Accountability
- Own weekly 1:1s with the team, turning every discussion into clear, specific actions, then follow up until they are done
- Hold Account Managers accountable for their commitments, pipeline, account plans, and results
- Spot early signs of underperformance and put fair, clear improvement plans in place
- Manage performance firmly, including improvement plans and talent decisions where required
- Recruit, onboard, and ramp new team members as the team grows
- Take full ownership of the team's day-to-day performance
Coaching and Account Growth
- Get into the detail of individual accounts with each Account Manager: who they are speaking to, how multi-threaded they are, and what they have uncovered
- Push the team to think about account growth every week, not just deal by deal
- Build and keep live, credible growth plans for Tier 1 and priority accounts
- Coach live deals continuously: qualification, next steps, and how to move a stalled opportunity forward
- Develop the stronger Account Managers and help new hires ramp quickly
Own the Results
- Own delivery of the team's bookings, account-growth, and pipeline targets
- Provide an accurate weekly forecast, with clear risks and recovery actions
- Turn the wider commercial strategy into consistent day-to-day execution across the team
