Sales Negotiator / Senior Sales Negotiator / Associate
Location: Headington, Oxford
Salary: £25k–£45k basic DOE + uncapped commission
Commission: Uncapped commission
Experience: From 1+ year in residential estate agency sales
Working pattern: Primarily office-based in Headington, with flexibility depending on experience
We are recruiting on behalf of an independent residential estate agency looking to strengthen its sales presence across Oxford.
This is deliberately not a one-size-fits-all hire. Our client is open to speaking with people at different stages of their estate agency career, from a Sales Negotiator with at least one year’s experience who is ready to develop, through to an experienced Senior Negotiator, Valuer or Associate who can take greater ownership of the Oxford sales operation.
The successful person will be based from the company’s Headington office but will work across the wider Oxford market rather than being restricted to one small patch.
The Opportunity
The role will be shaped around the experience of the person joining.
For someone earlier in their career, this could be an excellent opportunity to join as a Sales Negotiator, build broader experience across the sales process and learn from highly experienced estate agency professionals.
For a more experienced candidate, there is scope to take greater responsibility for generating instructions, carrying out valuations, developing the company’s presence across Oxford and playing an important part in growing the sales business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Business
Our client is an established independent estate agency with a growing residential sales operation across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
The business takes a modern, highly personal approach to estate agency and places considerable emphasis on honesty, professionalism and looking after clients properly.
Their Oxford team operates from a distinctive office in Headington and covers the wider Oxford market, giving the successful person the opportunity to work across a broad and varied territory rather than being restricted to a traditional single-branch patch.
This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who likes the idea of joining an independent business where they can have genuine influence over its growth and, for the right person, develop their role as the Oxford sales operation expands.
