Senior Sales & Partnerships Manager – Renewable Energy

Activ8 Solar Energies, in partnership with SSE Airtricity, is seeking an experienced Senior Sales & Partnerships Manager to drive strategic partnerships, commercial opportunities, and sustainable business growth across the UK market.

This is a full-time, permanent position based from our UK office in Burnley, offering a competitive salary, bonus, car allowance, pension, healthcare and additional benefits.

The Opportunity

As Senior Sales & Partnerships Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth and strengthening Activ8's presence across the UK renewable energy market.

Working closely with the Managing Director, Business Development Managers, and wider operational teams, you will drive the development of strategic partnerships, manage the sales pipeline, oversee tender submissions, and provide valuable commercial insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the complete sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract award, ensuring all opportunities are actively progressed and accurately maintained within the CRM system.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with clients, consultants, developers, contractors, and third-party intermediaries (TPIs) to support business growth across the UK market.
  • Build and maintain strong commercial relationships, identifying new partnership opportunities and routes to market.
  • Manage tender and bid processes from initial enquiry through to submission, coordinating with operational, technical, and commercial teams to develop high-quality proposals.
  • Monitor pipeline health, sales performance, forecasting accuracy, and conversion rates, taking proactive action to maximise commercial outcomes.
  • Prepare monthly commercial and pipeline reports for the Senior Leadership Team and Board, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Represent Activ8 Solar Energies at industry events, exhibitions, networking opportunities, and partner meetings.
  • Support the continued growth of Activ8 Solar Energies and SSE Airtricity through a proactive, collaborative, and customer-focused approach.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5-10 years' experience in sales, partnerships, tendering, bidding, commercial management, or business development.
  • Exceptional candidates with less experience will also be considered where they can demonstrate strong commercial awareness, ambition, and the potential to develop within the role.
  • Strong commercial and sales acumen with experience managing opportunities through a structured sales process.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full driving license.

Desirable

  • Experience within renewable energy, solar PV, electrical contracting, construction, engineering, sustainability, or energy services sectors.
  • Experience managing TPIs, brokers, channel partners, or strategic partnerships.
  • Understanding of commercial procurement and tendering processes.
  • Experience preparing reports and presenting performance data to senior leadership.
  • Exposure to battery storage (BESS), EV charging infrastructure, energy management, or wider renewable technologies.
