Senior Salesforce Administrator

We have ambitious plans to be raising £120m by 2033 and a core part of delivering this will be through transforming our supporter experience capabilities. We currently use Salesforce as our organisation-wide CRM platform, and we are now embarking on a project to implement Marketing Cloud and Data 360. This role will sit within the team responsible for the continual development of Salesforce to meet the evolving needs of the organisation.

This role will be responsible for consulting with internal users and considerately developing Salesforce using no code/low code methods. This role will also have a responsibility for the development and maintenance of Custom Metadata processes around Clarity Data Transform (CDT), an app managed by Giveclarity, and successfully combining that with Copado Robotics Testing. The commitment to test-driven development and maintenance of data imports into Core is fundamental to the functioning of Salesforce at ARUK.

ARUK currently has over 70 files/systems/platforms that are integrated into Salesforce and we use a combination of Matillion (an ETL Tool) and CDT to transform and load this data. ARUK uses Copado Robotics to regression test these processes. You will also support the Data Operations team, who run the import routines, and assist with resolving any exceptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out no-code developments in the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Non-Profit Success Pack). This includes new fields, formula fields, validation rules, Flows etc.
  • Act as the 2nd line support for CDT related issues raised by the Data Operations Team.
  • Assist in test-led-development of integrations in Copado Robotics and CDT, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and each import is thoroughly tested and documented.
  • Maintain import processes built in CDT to ensure any issues or recurring exception are assessed and fixes applied, including regression testing in Copado Robotics.
  • Ensuring that Salesforce developments are effectively documented in Confluence and that the documentation remains up to date.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with all end user teams and, when necessary, external partners.
  • Participate and contribute to regular Scrum Ceremonies associated with the Salesforce Development Team’s fortnightly sprints, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Meet, discuss and constructively challenge end user teams on Salesforce development requests to reach the right solution, and help embed Salesforce and Data best practices.
  • Work with the Salesforce Business Analyst and Integration Manager to ensure that developments are correctly documented, deployed and communicated.
  • Work with the Salesforce Technical Product Owner to ensure Salesforce is updated as part of the Salesforce release cycle and other notifications, raising and tracking relevant cases when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
