Senior Salesforce Administrator (Solutions Engineer)

Up to £62,000 | Hybrid, Edinburgh (min. 2 days/week on-site)

Our client, a major UK housebuilder with an ambitious technology transformation underway, is growing its Salesforce team and this is a brand-new role at the heart of it.

This isn't a "keep the lights on" admin job. You'll take full day-to-day ownership of Salesforce configuration and administration across Sales, Service and Field Service Cloud, working hand-in-hand with the Solutions Architect to turn approved designs into well-built, properly tested platform changes. You'll also take on line management of a small team of Salesforce administrators acting as their escalation point, quality gatekeeper and mentor.

If you're a senior Salesforce Administrator who's ready to step up, own the platform, and start building a team around you, this is that next move.

What you'll be doing

  • Own day-to-day Salesforce administration, configuration and maintenance across Sales, Service and Field Service clouds
  • Build and maintain complex automation using Flow Builder, validation rules and other declarative tools; review Apex and Lightning Component changes where required
  • Manage and mentor a small team of Salesforce administrators/support analysts overseeing workload, quality of output and professional development
  • Triage and resolve complex user support escalations across Salesforce and integrated systems
  • Partner with the Solutions Architect to translate architecture and solution designs into configured, tested platform changes
  • Manage user access, the security model, profiles, permission sets and data integrity
  • Deploy platform changes through the development pipeline in line with change control protocols
  • Maintain up-to-date system documentation, configuration records and standard operating procedures
  • Support release management activities and assess the impact of new Salesforce releases on existing configuration
  • Engage with external partners and vendors on delivery standards and timelines
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and technical debt reduction

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Working knowledge of Apex and Lightning Components sufficient to review and QA changes hands-on development is not a requirement of this role
  • Familiarity with deployment tools such as Copado or Gearset
