Title: Senior Salesforce Developer
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing Salesforce technology business, who are looking for an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join their team on a fully remote basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Salesforce Developer who enjoys working closely with customers, solving complex problems and helping shape solutions rather than simply working from a development backlog.
You'll work closely with the Director to design, develop and implement Salesforce solutions, support existing customers, customise implementations for new customers and work alongside partners on technical solutions and design. The role also offers the opportunity to develop into a leadership position as the team grows.
The Role
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will take ownership of the development and enhancement of Salesforce solutions across a range of customer implementations.
You'll combine strong hands-on development skills with customer-facing responsibilities, participating in meetings, workshops and technical discussions to understand requirements and help deliver effective solutions.
The role is fully remote, although there may be occasional travel to meet customers. You must be permanently based in the UK and have the legal right to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement Salesforce solutions for new and existing customers.
- Provide hands-on Salesforce development using Apex, LWC and Visualforce.
- Configure Salesforce solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Enhance and troubleshoot existing Salesforce implementations.
- Debug and resolve complex Apex and JavaScript issues.
- Work closely with customers to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Participate confidently in customer meetings, workshops and technical discussions.
- Integrate Salesforce with third-party applications and systems.
- Work with partners who require additional technical support or solution design input.
- Apply Salesforce architecture and development best practices.
- Use Git for source control and follow appropriate development practices.
- Support the continued development of the Salesforce platform and wider applications.
- Contribute ideas around emerging technologies, including AI-enabled Salesforce solutions.
- Work independently within a fully remote team, taking ownership of your workload and following through on commitments.
- Develop towards a potential future leadership position as the team grows.

Skills and Experience Required
- Strong hands-on experience as a Senior Salesforce Developer.
- Excellent Salesforce development experience, particularly Apex and configuration.
- Experience with LWC and Visualforce.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and development best practices.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex Apex and JavaScript code.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party applications.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience using Git for source control.
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the confidence to communicate professionally with customers.
- Proven experience working successfully as part of a fully remote team.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Genuine interest in AI technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
- Previous experience working on AI projects would be highly desirable.
- Salesforce certifications are essential, including Platform Developer I plus at least one additional certification from the Salesforce Architect certification pyramid.

The Right Person
We're looking for someone who is technically strong but also enjoys the people side of Salesforce.
You should be comfortable speaking directly with customers, asking questions, explaining technical concepts clearly and helping shape solutions. Just as importantly, you'll need the curiosity and willingness to keep learning as Salesforce, AI and customer requirements continue to evolve.
This is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys working autonomously, takes pride in their work and wants the opportunity to grow into a wider technical leadership role.
