Role: Senior Salesforce Developer
About the Role
Our client, a leading FTSE-100 company, is in the midst of a greenfield Salesforce implementation and is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to help design, develop, and maintain complex Salesforce automations and integrations. You will play a key role in building scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while collaborating with the internal team comprising architects, administrators, business analysts, and wider technical teams.
Key Responsibilities

Design, Build & Maintain Integrations and Automations
- Collaborate with architects and technical teams to design complex Salesforce automations and integrations.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems such as ERP, websites, PIM platforms, finance systems, and other third-party applications.
- Support the transition from point-to-point integrations to a strategic integration platform such as MuleSoft.
- Design and build advanced Salesforce solutions using Flows, Apex, Platform Events, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Create custom user interfaces when standard Salesforce functionality or third-party applications are insufficient.

Security & Governance
- Ensure secure development practices and maintain high-quality coding standards.
- Stay up to date with Salesforce platform enhancements and integration best practices.
- Support security reviews and participate in regular penetration testing activities.

Documentation & DevOps
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation specifications.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes and Salesforce DevOps practices.
- Review code and mentor junior developers to ensure delivery quality and consistency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Architects, Salesforce Administrators, Business Analysts, internal technical teams, and external vendors.
- Deliver scalable, reliable, and secure Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- Strong expertise in:
- Apex
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Salesforce APIs and Integrations
- Platform Events
- Complex Salesforce Configuration
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model and platform architecture.
- Proven experience delivering event-driven integrations.
- Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft.
- Ability to determine when to use declarative solutions versus custom development.
- Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Salesforce DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior developers.
