Job Description: Senior SAP BI Consultant
Your mission:
This role is not open to freelance or consultancy arrangements.
Epson is hiring a driven and knowledgeable Senior SAP BI Consultant to join our forward-thinking team. In this key role, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and support of SAP data warehousing and reporting solutions, helping to ensure our BI landscape aligns with Epson’s strategic business goals.
Operating on a hybrid model of 2 days WFH and 3 days in our state-of-the-art Watford office.
What you will do:
Day to day activities
- System Monitoring: Check and resolve overnight batch issues as part of a team rota (during working hours)
- Incidents: Investigate and resolve incidents, some of which may require development work
- Service Requests: Handle various tasks that typically do not require development
- Change Requests: Develop small to moderately complex system enhancements
- Projects: Contribute to larger-scale developments as part of project teams
- Emails: Respond to general queries and questions not covered by the categories above
- Team Meetings: Participate in regular discussions covering a range of team and project-related topics
What we ask for:
Strong SAP BW Development Skills
- Proven expertise in SAP BW, including BW on HANA and/or BW/4HANA
- Hands-on experience with a wide range of BW object types and tools
- Advanced development capabilities in data modeling, ETL processes, and performance optimization

ABAP for BW Development
- Solid experience developing complex ABAP solutions for BW
- Skilled in creating custom function modules, class methods, and standalone programs
- Good understanding of ABAP use in BW contexts such as transformations, field routines, and custom extractors
SAP ECC Functional Knowledge (for BW Integration)

Strong understanding of SAP ECC transactions, tables, standard extractors, and BW business content data models

Experience across multiple core modules:
- Essential: FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), PP (Production Planning)
- Nice to have: QM (Quality Management), LE (Logistics Execution), CS (Customer Service)
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
- Awareness of the key differences between SAP ECC and S/4HANA from a BW perspective
