Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP IBP Consultant / Solution Architect with experience in Supply Chain Planning and a proven track record of delivering large-scale SAP IBP transformations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across SAP IBP modules, strong solution design capabilities, and extensive experience working with Healthcare & Life Sciences organizations. The role involves leading global implementations, engaging with business stakeholders, defining solution architecture, driving end-to-end delivery, and enabling advanced planning capabilities across demand, inventory, supply, and S&OP processes.
Role Details
Job Title: Senior SAP IBP Consultant / Solution Architect (Healthcare & Life Sciences)
Client Domain: Healthcare & Life Sciences
Contract Duration: 6 months (high possibility of extension)
Work Mode: Hybrid (2–3 days per week in the London office)
Location: London, UK (Outside IR35)
Start Date: ASAP
Experience
- 15+ years of Supply Chain Planning consulting experience, including extensive expertise in SAP IBP and SAP APO implementations.
Seniority Level: Senior Consultant / Lead Consultant / Solution Architect / Principal Consultant
Domain Preference: Healthcare & Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Healthcare Distribution.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead end-to-end SAP IBP solution design and implementation & Transformation programs.
- Define scalable and future-ready supply chain planning architectures.
- Conduct business workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution blueprinting.
- Design and govern global SAP IBP templates for multi-country deployments.
- Provide architectural leadership and best-practice guidance across implementation teams.
SAP IBP Functional Expertise
- Design and implement solutions across:
- SAP IBP for Demand Planning
- SAP IBP for Response & Supply
- Time Series Supply Planning
- Order-Based Supply Planning (OBP)
- SAP IBP for Inventory Optimization
- SAP IBP for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Scenario Planning and What-If Simulations
Configuration & Development
- Configure planning areas, planning levels, key figures, attributes, and master data.
- Design and optimize forecasting models and supply planning operators.
- Implement:
- Supply Optimizer
- Finite Heuristics
- Inventory Optimization
- Simulations & Snapshots
- Build planning views, dashboards, and Excel-based planning templates.
Integration & Data Management
- Lead integration architecture between SAP IBP and enterprise systems using:
- SAP CI-DS (Cloud Integration for Data Services)
- Real-Time Integration (RTI)
- Smart Data Integration (SDI)
- SAP APO CIF
- SAP ECC
- SAP S/4HANA
- Non-SAP planning systems

Project Delivery
- Lead global implementations and rollouts.
- Manage SIT, UAT, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Support data migration and deployment planning.
- Provide hypercare and post-production support.
- Mentor consultants and lead cross-functional project teams.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as trusted advisor to Supply Chain, Operations, and IT leadership.
- Present solution options and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Drive change management and user adoption initiatives.
- Collaborate with external partners and implementation vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- 15+ years of Supply Chain Planning consulting experience.
- 8+ years of SAP IBP implementation experience.
- Strong experience with SAP APO (SNP, DP, GATP).
- Proven experience delivering global supply chain transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Optimization processes.
- Experience across full project lifecycle from design through go-live and support.
