Job title: Senior SAP Project Manager

Employment: Permanent

Location: UK based

Salary: Excellent basic salary and benefits

The role overview:

As a Senior SAP Project Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of complex SAP, The Config Team software product, and digital transformation projects for a portfolio of customers across a variety of industries. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered successfully, meeting agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business objectives.

Working closely with customers, internal consultants, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders, you will provide strategic leadership across multiple project workstreams whilst maintaining strong governance and commercial oversight. You will have the opportunity to work on large-scale SAP Supply Chain and SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes, utilising the latest SAP technologies and delivery methodologies.

You will also play an important role in helping shape and develop The Config Team's project management capability, supporting continuous improvement, talent development, and delivery excellence across the business.

Job requirements:

  • Proven experience leading multiple SAP or large-scale digital transformation projects with end-to-end accountability.
  • Strong experience delivering SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA projects within Supply Chain environments.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stream programmes involving business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, forecasts, risks, and contractual obligations.
  • Experience working within dynamic, matrixed organisations and managing cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, delivery methodologies, stakeholder management, and change control processes.
  • Experience using SAP Activate methodology; SAP Activate certification is advantageous.
  • Previous involvement in pre-sales activities including RFP responses, quotations, Statements of Work (SoW), customer assessments, and solution evaluations.
  • Previous line management, mentoring, or team leadership experience.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools including Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident presenting to senior leadership teams, steering committees, and customer stakeholders.
  • PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, AgilePM, or equivalent project/programme management qualification is desirable.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
