Senior SAP Project Manager - S4/Hana / SAP Basis / Infrastructure
Salary: £80,000 to £100,000 depending on experience
Location: Fully remote in the UK
We are partnering with a global enterprise organization undertaking a massive ERP transformation from SAP ECC to S/4HANA on RISE. This is a highly specialized, dual-capability role embedded within the SAP Architecture, Integrations & Transversals Design Team.
This is not a generalist PM position. We are looking for a "unicorn" candidate who can seamlessly blend enterprise-scale programme leadership (~70%) with genuine, hands-on SAP Basis and infrastructure depth (~30%). You must be comfortable chairing executive steering committees one hour, and deep-diving into Basis configuration, RISE environment management, and landscape design the next.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Leadership: Own and drive the end-to-end delivery framework for the Infrastructure and Basis workstream, including integrated project plans, RAID management, cutover documentation, and Hypercare plans.
- Vendor Management: Independently manage, challenge, and hold accountable multiple tier-one System Integrators (SIs) and technology partners.
- Technical Direction: Provide hands-on guidance across SAP Basis configuration, landscape design, and environment builds.
- RISE with SAP Ownership: Manage provisioning, hyperscaler landing zone readiness (Azure/GCP/AWS), and multi-instance environment configuration across the entire project lifecycle.
- Architecture & Security: Lead HA/DR planning and testing, manage system refreshes and transport management (ActiveControl), and coordinate SAP security and vulnerability management.
- Governance: Act as the technical workstream lead's proxy in detailed technical and Basis meetings, holding your own with senior engineers and architects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
