Role – We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics Consultant to support a major SAP IS-Oil Remote Logistics Management (RLM) to SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics transformation within the Oil & Gas sector.
This senior, hands-on role requires expertise across SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics, SAP IS-Oil / RLM and Oil & Gas logistics. You will assess existing RLM processes, define future-state solutions and support the migration of legacy logistics capabilities to S/4HANA.
You will deliver solutions spanning fuel distribution, bulk deliveries, transportation, inventory, returns and settlement, integrated with SAP MM, SD, TM, EWM, FI/CO and PM.
Key Responsibilities
Field Logistics & RLM Transformation
- Lead the assessment and transition of SAP IS-Oil RLM to SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics.
- Analyse existing RLM processes and map requirements to standard S/4HANA capabilities.
- Conduct Fit-Gap analysis and design future-state processes across fuel distribution, bulk deliveries, transportation, inventory, returns, reconciliation and settlement.
- Simplify legacy RLM processes and maximise adoption of standard SAP S/4HANA functionality.

Configuration & Integration
- Configure and optimise SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics, including delivery processing, transportation, inventory and settlement.
- Design integration across SAP MM, SD, TM, EWM, FI/CO and PM.
- Define interfaces with mobile, terminal automation, weighbridge and GPS systems.
- Support pricing, taxation, batch management, serial numbers and stock determination.
- Produce FDDs and functional specifications for enhancements, reports, forms, APIs and integrations.
Migration, Testing & Deployment
- Support migration of master data, transactional data and historical RLM records to S/4HANA.
- Lead/support Unit Testing, SIT, UAT and defect resolution.
- Support cutover, deployment, go-live and post-production support.
- Deliver user documentation, training and knowledge transfer.
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead workshops to capture requirements and validate future-state Field Logistics processes.
- Translate complex Oil & Gas logistics requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
- Collaborate across functional, technical, integration and business teams.
- Support global rollouts and multi-country implementations, driving continuous process improvement.

Key Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics, ideally within Oil & Gas / Energy.
- Proven experience transitioning SAP IS-Oil Remote Logistics Management (RLM) to SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics, covering assessment, solution design and migration.
- Strong knowledge of RLM / Field Logistics processes, including fuel distribution, bulk deliveries, inventory, transportation, returns and settlement.
- Proven SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration and transformation experience, including Fit-Gap, process design and configuration.
- Strong integration knowledge across SAP MM, SD, TM, EWM, FI/CO and PM.
- Experience integrating SAP with mobile solutions, terminal automation, weighbridge and GPS systems.
- Knowledge of pricing, taxation, batch management, serial numbers and stock determination.
- Experience across data migration, SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live and production support.
- Experience producing functional specifications / FDDs for developments, reports, APIs and integrations.
- Strong understanding of Oil & Gas industry processes and SAP best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience with SAP Activate and Agile methodologies across implementation and transformation programmes.
