About the project

You'll be employed by a specialist SAP consultancy, delivering a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme for an end client in the Defence industry. This is the successful candidate's first assignment - a Greenfield ECC 6 to S/4HANA build, targeting S/4HANA Private Cloud, specifically Sovereign Cloud (an additional private cloud layer required for programmes of this kind), with some public cloud exposure elsewhere in the end client's estate. You'll be leading day-to-day delivery of the build described above.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Contract type and location

This is a permanent role, not tied to a single client engagement. The programme above is expected to run 2-3 years and is the candidate's first assignment; the successful candidate then moves onto other client projects as a permanent member of staff.

  • Fully remote / home-based, with occasional UK travel for workshops and meetings as needed. Travel expenses are covered.

Security clearance and eligibility

Because the end client operates in the Defence industry, BPSS (baseline) security clearance is required, but not upfront - it will be arranged and processed within roughly two weeks of start.

  • You must be a UK citizen, or hold the right to work in the UK without sponsorship or any restriction.
