Senior Scala Engineer
Day Rate: £605–£620/day, Inside IR35
Location: Mostly Remote (Stratford, London occasional visits)
Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
Clearance: SC required, public sector/government department experience preferred
Sector: Public Sector
Public sector counter-fraud programme seeking a Senior Scala Engineer to help design and deliver front-end Attribute Reputation services (APIs), providing attribute-based insights for fraud detection and prevention. You'll shape the future vision for these services, support high-volume, high-availability, low-latency delivery, reduce maintenance effort through incremental re-architecting, and collaborate closely with product, data engineering and wider programme teams.

- Strong hands-on experience with Scala and Play (or similar MVC/REST API frameworks)
- SQL and AWS Suite experience
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Agile methodologies
- Docker, Jenkins, Kibana, Grafana or Airflow experience desirable
