This is an exciting role for a Senior Scientist to join a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry, based in Berkshire, UK. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on early clinical development by supporting the progression and maximization of therapeutic molecules.
This is a 12-month contract with the potential to extend.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
Your duties as the Senior Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- As the Senior Scientist, you will support scientific decision-making by designing and running in vitro, ex vivo, and potentially in vivo experiments to reflect the biology of the target and model pathogenic mechanisms of disease.
- As the Senior Scientist, you will perform analysis of large data sets, including Bulk RNAseq, scRNAseq, and proteomics, using advanced data analysis tools and pipelines.
- As the Senior Scientist, you will set up and run translational in vitro assays, including complex cell culture models and patient ex vivo tissue culture, to test novel therapeutics and investigate their mechanisms of action.
- As the Senior Scientist, you will collaborate with project teams and manage external studies with contract research organizations to run specific complex or translational assays.

Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Senior Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
- Relevant degree in a scientific discipline, ideally a PhD with 3+ years industry experience.
- Strong technical background in immunology and/or stromal biology, with biological knowledge across multiple disease indications.
- Proven experience in analysing and integrating different data sets from multiple sources.
- Practical experience in producing high-dimensional data such as Bulk RNAseq, scRNAseq, spatial transcriptomics, and proteomics is desirable.
