Job Opportunity: Senior Scientist - PK (Pharmacokinetics)
Labcorp is seeking a Senior Scientist - PK (Pharmacokinetics) to join our Metabolism team at Harrogate, North Yorkshire or Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday – 37hrs
Job Responsibilities:
- Acts as a primary scientific authority in Pharmacokinetics
- Designs protocols, prepares reports and carries out kinetic analysis of PK, non clinical PK/bioavailability/bioequivalence studies with limited guidance from management to develop general expertise in the field
- Conduct kinetic analysis using both compartmental and NCA (noncompartmental) approach
- Represents the Company on PK issues at appropriate scientific meetings, for regulatory issues and with clients
- Participates in appropriate client visits
- Authors or Co-authors scientific papers and posters, which are published in peer reviewed journals or presented at scientific meetings as appropriate
- Trains and mentors Associate Pharmacokineticists and pharmacokinetic study coordinators
- Contributes to long-range planning and technical policies of the department
- Consults with clients to determine their needs and to suggest/guide plans to accomplish these needs
- Provides guidance and leadership to ensure project completion
- Reviews technical validity of projects and test results
- Evaluates experimental data and writes comprehensive reports
- Applies and interprets scientific theories, concepts, and techniques in a scientific specialty and accepts leadership role in developing scientific approaches
- Acts as research focal point for complex projects
- Works on a wide range of problems where causal relationships are progressively difficult to establish and the use of creative thinking is required
- Assures on-time delivery of high quality data and reports
- Provides relevant information to assure accuracy of forecast and revenue recognition
- Assures that the final report, including any changes, is approved and in compliance with appropriate SOPs and regulatory agency guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacology
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacology
Additional Job Standards:
- Proficient working knowledge of WinNonlin and PK/PD software programs and familiarity with SAS
- Knowledge of bioanalytical methods and statistics
- Skilled in writing reports/summarization and data interpretation for regulatory agencies
- Can demonstrate ability for logical thinking, vision, and creativity necessary to function effectively with little structure or supervision
- Skilled in performing scientific presentations and preparing scientific publications
- Some experience in NONMEM
This is a remote role with occasional visits to either our Harrogate or Huntingdon site.

We are looking for a Senior Scientist to provide a service as Principal Investigator or Contributing Scientist for research studies under the direction of the Director of the Pharmacokinetic group. Has overall responsibility for technical conduct of a study, review, documentation and reporting of results.
