Senior SDET / Java Developer in Test

London / WFH

to £90k

Are you a Senior SDET with Java coding skills and strong automation experience looking for an opportunity to work on high impact, client facing projects across Financial Services and Energy?

You could be progressing your career at a global technology consultancy.

You'll join a talented engineering team, working across modern technology platforms while embracing AI enabled engineering to improve productivity, accelerate testing and enhance software quality.

What you'll do:

  • Design and build scalable test automation frameworks
  • Develop UI and API automation using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Create test strategies, plans and automated scripts covering functional, integration and regression testing
  • Work closely with engineers to embed a quality-first approach
  • Use AI and automation tools to improve test coverage and delivery

Location / WFH:

There's a hybrid work from home policy with three days a week in the London, City office (or at client sites), you'll join a friendly, diverse, upbeat team.

About you:

  • Experience within a financial services, FinTech or consultancy environment
  • Strong Java coding skills
  • Experience building test automation frameworks
  • Strong UI and API testing experience
  • Good knowledge of Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube and CI/CD
  • Familiar with Performance and Load Testing experience using JMeter, LoadRunner or equivalent tools
  • Good understanding of DevOps practices and public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
  • Comfortable using AI enabled tools to improve engineering productivity
  • Collaborative with great communication skills
