I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is a genuine new-business role for someone who thrives on the hunt — identifying, engaging and converting high-potential prospects into long-term client relationships. You'll be at the sharp end of their growth strategy, opening doors with finance leaders, founders and decision-makers at innovative companies who don't yet know how much value they're leaving on the table.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years' B2B sales experience, ideally including time in SDR or BDR/BDE roles — you know how to build pipeline, not just work it
- A track record of proactive, consultative outreach — you're comfortable picking up the phone and starting conversations from scratch
- Industry experience in SaaS and/or professional services is highly desirable — particularly where you've sold into finance functions or around R&D/innovation themes
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders (FDs, CFOs, founders) and translating complex value propositions into clear, compelling conversations
- A genuine curiosity about business, innovation and technology — you'll be talking to some of the most interesting companies in the UK
