Job Title: Senior Secretary/Personal Assistant
The Department of Public Health & Primary Care is seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Secretary/Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre Capacity Building Team and Professor Joanne McPeake.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will manage diaries, coordinate meetings and travel, support research administration, maintain records and databases, and assist with financial and grant-related activities.
The Successful Applicant Will Have
- Proven secretarial and administrative experience.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Experience of handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Position Details
- Hours: Part-time at 17 hours per week.
- Duration: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2028.
- Location: Department of Public Health and Primary Care, Strangeways Research Laboratory, Worts Causeway, Cambridge CB1 8RN (approx 2 miles south of city centre)
