Senior Security Architect | Cloud & Technical Security Consulting
£70,000 base + up to 10% bonus + benefits

We’re partnering with a growing UK cyber security consultancy to appoint a Senior Security Architect to its technical consulting team.
This opportunity combines security architecture, cloud security and practical technical consulting, helping clients embed security from initial design through to implementation.
You may already be a Security Architect or Technical Security Consultant. Equally, you could be a Security Engineer with strong design experience, ready to bring your expertise into a broader client-facing role.

The work
Reporting to the Technical Consulting Lead, you’ll help clients design, assess and improve security across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing security architectures, reference designs and high- and low-level design documentation.
- Conducting threat modelling, technical risk assessments and architecture reviews.
- Advising on cloud security, identity and access management, network security, monitoring and other technical controls.
- Working with client engineering and project teams to embed secure-by-design principles throughout delivery.
- Explaining design decisions and security trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Managing your client commitments, maintaining delivery quality and adapting to different business requirements.
- Contributing to reusable security patterns, delivery materials and improvements across the consulting team.

What you’ll bring
- Practical experience in security architecture, technical security consulting or security engineering, including designing and implementing security controls.
- Cloud security experience, with exposure to environments such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 or AWS.
- The ability to translate business requirements and security risks into workable technical designs.
- A solid understanding of security across areas such as identity, networks, endpoints and cloud infrastructure.
- Clear communication, sound judgement and the confidence to work directly with clients.
- Curiosity, adaptability and a collaborative approach to solving unfamiliar problems.
- Experience applying guidance or frameworks such as NCSC, NIST, CIS or ISO 27001 would be valuable.
- SABSA, TOGAF or other architecture certifications are preferred, alongside relevant Microsoft cloud or security certifications. Practical capability and the ability to explain your approach are central to the role.
Aviation experience would be a bonus, but is not essential.
