Senior Security Consultant - Entry into Chinese Market

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Consultant to provide expert guidance for our entry into the Chinese market as a provider of cloud-based solutions and software products. You will play a pivotal role in navigating the complex regulatory and business landscape of China, ensuring compliance with local laws related to cybersecurity, data privacy, and cloud operations. This position offers a fully remote work environment, allowing you to collaborate with cross-functional teams globally. If you are passionate about bridging legal, compliance, and technical considerations to develop operationally viable market entry strategies, this opportunity may be the right fit for you.

Your Tasks

  • Assessing regulatory, cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance requirements for operating digital products and cloud services in China
  • Advising on suitable operating models, hosting options, and cloud architecture approaches
  • Defining compliance and security requirements while ensuring alignment with global standards and corporate governance
  • Identifying risks, regulatory constraints, and market entry challenges, together with mitigation strategies
  • Supporting stakeholder alignment across business, legal, compliance, privacy, security, and technology teams
  • Providing a practical roadmap and recommendations for a successful and compliant go-to-market execution in China
  • Facilitating discussions and providing recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Guiding the organization through the full market entry process, including identifying required legal entities and regulatory obligations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
